Holy Family: a lesson for the new year

The fragility of the Baby Jesus, the unconditional love of His Mother, and the protection of the Father; each member of the Holy Family teaches us to love and make God the center of our lives.

We celebrated the Holy Family yesterday, an opportunity offered by the Christmas season and also closely connected to the end of the year. Therefore, we invite you to leave behind superstitions and commit to living 5 (not-so-new) more effective traditions:

  1. Be thankful for the precious gift of family.

  2. Commit to performing spiritual and corporal works of mercy.

  3. Reach out to a family member or friend you haven't seen in a while.

  4. Make a list of resolutions to draw closer to God.

  5. Pray for the upcoming year.

Prayer:

Thank you, my Lord, for everything you have granted and inspired in me at this moment. I hope that my restless heart never stops burning until it finally finds you, the only true love. May everything be for the greater glory of your name, as we all become one soul and one heart directed towards You, our God. Amen.

Happy New Year to all!
